03-11-16: Vietnamese authorities up their focus on agriculture

With the majority of its population producing farm products or fishing, agriculture has always been a cornerstone of Vietnamese economy.

According to a recently launched report on public spending the government seem to have honored that in the allocation of funds in the years 2011-2015: During that period the government invested 27.4 billion dollars in agriculture and rural areas, which is 1.8 times higher than the previous period.
