05-01-17: Japan: Meet you new non-human insurance man

A Japanese insurance firm has stepped well into the future by hiring 34 new employees – none of them a human.

The employees are robots with an artificial intelligence system that can calculate the payout to policyholders and thus execute the job in a satisfactory manner, according their new employer, Fukoku Mutual Life Insurance.

And this is only the beginning, projects think tank, Nomura Research Institute; By 2035 half of the country´s job functions could be carried out by robots, the institute says.
