16-10-16: Thailand in year-long mourning period – election still on

While millions of Thais these days unite to express their monumental sorrow over the loss of their beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej, foreign observers and allies alike cautiously wonder what will happen to the everyday affairs and long-term plans for the country.

A spokesman on Sunday took time to address the issue:
