Construction has been a key growth driver in Cambodia and investment in the industry continues to boom. The country experienced a 43.3 per cent increase in investments in the first four months of the year compared to the same period last year.
Industry analysts say that the smaller Cambodian economy is – in relative terms – attracting a lot more construction projects in comparison to neighbouring countries.
A total of 1,020 new construction projects worth about 4 billion USD were approved from January to April.
Since 2000, Cambodia has attracted overseas private investments in construction projects totalling 4.5 billion USD.
