25-08-16: VN president looking to France for back-up

The ever-growing tensions in the South China Sea need outside mediation to keep from boiling over, says  Vietnamese President, Tran Dai Quang.

Ahead of a visit from his French counterpart, Francois Hollande, Mr. Tran Dai Quang, asked of France and other countries to help defuse the situation in the region.

Six nations lay claim on overlapping areas in the South China Sea with China claiming most of it with reference to their historic rights to it.
