As cloud technology tends to be overwhelmed by enormous amounts of data that can cause delays, a rising number of Asian companies are turning to edge computing platforms to speed up data processes.
More and more companies, according to a regional survey, are moving computing and storage away from a core data centre and instead use a small “edge server” positioned between cloud and user.
This development is seen as beneficial to real-time delivery of services, continuous availability, better storage and faster data analytics.
