Pakistan is facing great financial, domestic and geopolitical challenges. In order to achieve financial stability, Pakistan, led by Imran Khan, looks to China for inspiration, and with AIIB funding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Pakistan may be able to avoid the IMF and it’s “strategic adjustment”, feared throughout the Global South for its mix of austerity and inflation.
