AVPN and SPACES: Connecting Denmark and Asia in Shaping the Future of Philanthropy
22 September 2025
Reflecting on an inspiring AVPN conference in Hong Kong, it is clearer than ever that the Asian philanthropic sector is emerging as a global thought leader shaping the future of philanthropy. With bold approaches to collaboration, impact, and innovation, Asia is setting the agenda for tomorrow’s philanthropic work.
Through SPACES, the joint initiative of the Asia House Denmark/EAC Foundation and Grundfos Foundation | PDJF Foundation, the Danish philanthropic sector now has a unique opportunity to take part in this global dialogue. While many Danish foundations operate with a national mandate, Denmark’s ambition to remain a global leader in the green transition depends on building strong partnerships with Asia, where some of the most pioneering philanthropic models are unfolding.
In January 2026, SPACES will, for the first time, bring a Danish delegation to Singapore for a workshop with Asian peers, continuing our shared journey of dialogue, inspiration, and cross-border collaboration.
We are deeply grateful for the friendship and leadership of Naina Subberwal Batra Subberwal and AVPN, who are helping connect Denmark with Asia’s dynamic philanthropic landscape. Together, we look forward to shaping a new chapter of international philanthropy.
