“India has the size, and Denmark has the abilities.”

Those were the words of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi when he visited Denmark last year. Today a business delegation along with the Crown Prince Couple and multiple Ministers is in India to promote Danish businesses.

Yet the fact is that very few Danish startups go to India. Cumbersome bureaucracy craves an in-depth knowledge of local conditions, and there are hardly any role models for other Nordic startups going to India.

However, India should not be overlooked. Not only are the direct market opportunities immense, but India is also a suitable testbed for co-creation and product adaptation toward emerging markets.

Asia Houses project, Innovation Lab Asia has created a guide to India’s innovation ecosystem, which presents an overview of the market, leads, and other gateways in India, etc.
