Exploring Danish Capitalism at Asia House

5 September 2023

Last Tuesday, CBS and Asia House hosted an event with Martin Jes Iversen, Vice Dean of International Education at Copenhagen Business School who engaged an international audience of CBS staff and diplomats from Asian Embassies in Copenhagen with questions such as:

  • Why is Denmark host to some of the world’s leading companies in a number of various sectors?
  • Why are foundation and cooperative-based ownership so common among the largest corporations in Denmark?
  • Is Denmark “just” an archetypical example of a small, open economy in Peter Katzenstein’s understanding?

The evening included a tour of Asia House, networking, and light refreshments.

Thank you to all who participated, and stay tuned for more enriching events.
