Happy Mother Language Day!

21 February 2023

Today is Mother Language Day, celebrated on 21 February every year around the world since its official recognition by UNESCO in 1999.

World Mother Language Day recognises the right to speak and learn one’s mother language.

The holiday began on the initiative of Bangladesh and is especially significant for the Bengali community, whether from Bengal, Bangladesh, or any other part of the world.
