Easter brought something special this year, as Asia House Denmark sponsored and provided space for the three-day exhibition ‘Imprinted Heritage: The Art of Thailand’s Lanna Lantern’. The space was beautifully adorned with intricate chiseling art and extraordinary lanterns.
Curated by Dr. Namfon Laistrooglai and her team from Thailand, and supported by the National Research Council of Thailand, the exhibition opened with a warm welcome speech by our colleague Melissa Simone Byberg on behalf of Asia House and the EAC Foundation. This was followed by other inspiring remarks and an insightful tour, revealing the rich stories behind the artwork.
Among our many valued guests, we welcomed H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, the new Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark.
The exhibition showcased the beauty of Northern Thailand’s traditional lantern craftsmanship and its relevance in modern design. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Thai art and culture in Copenhagen!
