Living Asia has officially launched, and what an incredible evening it was! Young students and recent graduates passionate about Asia gathered from all corners of the country at Asia House. They seized the opportunity to delve into Living Asia’s mission and contribute to shaping its future.
From an Asia Studies Student to an Asia-Relevant Career
Recognizing the need to bridge the gap between Asia studies and relevant job opportunities, we invited TV2 Asia correspondent Casper Wichmann to share his personal journey – from being an Asia Studies student to his current job, tenaciously sticking to his Asian passion along his winding career road.
Celebrating Excellence
In addition, we celebrated the winners of the EAC Foundation’s Bachelor Competition, Arnaldur Jónsson, Timmy Foo, and Tove Duncan-Jones, who shared their experiences, insights, and the decision-making process behind their Bachelor Thesis “Energy Blockchain for Solar PV in Southeast Asia”.
Building Future Connections
Living Asia’s core objective of fostering connections among like-minded individuals took center stage. Attendees engaged in a lively ‘Human Bingo’ activity, roaming the room in search of fellow attendees with skills or interests, such as making homemade sushi or having been on exchange in Asia. It was a true pleasure to see the old room being filled with young new energy.
This week, the newly formed Young Professionals Council will convene to plan the next Living Asia activities and events. Be sure to stay tuned for updates on our LinkedIn page here.
