The technology industry in the Philippines has seen considerable growth.  in the past few years, especially with the boom of the country’s information technology and business process management sector.

Local and global investors are beginning to improve their companies to open the door for additional technological advancements in the nation. In that context, Franz-Michael Melbin, Danish Ambassador to the Philippines, recently met with officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Philippines.

In an effort to advance the digitalization cooperation between the two nations, he spoke with Secretary Ivan John Uy about cybersecurity, e-government, and national identity systems. Mr. Melbin and Undersecretary Carlos Sorreta also discussed recent events in the Indo-Pacific area as well as potential business partnerships to strengthen ties between Denmark and the Philippines.
