This week, we hosted our “Why Asia?” networking event, the third in our youth-centered “Living Asia” event series.
As part of the program, we were excited to announce the EAC Bachelor Prize Winners, who received a monetary award from the EAC Foundation that celebrates students behind extraordinary theses focused on Asia. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, especially Michelle Wu and Irene Ijäs for taking the first place!
The event also featured talks exploring the question of “Why Asia?”, the importance of cultural exchange, and what role the EAC Foundation and Asia House play in this context. Thank you to Ove Ullerup, Kenneth P. Luciani, Martin Jes Iversen, and Peter Johansen for your insights and speeches!
We also shook things up and took cultural exchange a step further. Here, we were given a talk by Manus Bell and a rap performance by rap coach Tarick, both of whom belong to the inspiring organization Rapolitics – an organization we look forward to working more closely with in the future as part of our youth strategy.
We were overwhelmed by the attendance, amazing support, and energy in the room. A big thank you to all attendees, partners, and collaborators for making this event so special! We can take our youth strategy far with the help of such great people.
