The purpose of this policy is to publish guidelines for how the EAC Foundation and Asia House process personal data, and ensure that customers and partners agree to this processing of personal data.

Scope / Limitation

The document is for publication on the company’s website and for disclosure to customers and collaborators. If you cannot accept this policy, you should refrain from using the EAC Foundation and Asia House websites, and entering into a partnership with the company.

Personal Information

Personal information covers all information that can be used to identify a person including, but not limited to, first and last name, age, gender, private address and/or other physical address, email address or other contact information, whether they concern their private residence or workplace.

What Types of Personal Information do we Collect and Use?

We treat the following common personal information:

  • Full name (first, last, middle)
  • CPR numbers
  • Address
  • Email
  • Telephone number
  • Company and position
  • Banking information

 

The EAC Foundation and Asia House do not collect or handle sensitive personal data (e.g. data on racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual orientation, etc.)

As a rule, you can access the website without telling us who you are or without giving personal information about yourself.

However, we need certain personal information to cooperate with you and provide you with news.

Our website collects and processes information about you when you:

  • Send an inquiry, complains or gives us feedback via email
  • We do not store information about payment options, e.g. card numbers on debit cards, bank account numbers or the like.
  • Registration of personal information and personally identifiable information is required to analyze how you use our website.

Through our website, we collect only the personal information needed to deliver the requested service (e.g. monthly newsletters).

 

With Whom do we Share Personal Information?

Personal information provided on our website is only disclosed to:

  • Company employees when processing data
  • Selected and trusted subcontractors who may use your personal information in order to provide the services you have requested: Ubivox is a subcontractor to the Asia House newsletter.
  • Public authorities according to law / requirements

 

Furthermore, we only disclose personal information to others, such as abuse records, in accordance with applicable law, if you abuse or practice fraudulent behavior towards the company.

In order to further develop and improve our website, we collect statistics on how you use the website. The statistics are used solely in summary form, for example, to see which pages and browsers you use most.

Except in the above cases, we do not disclose data about your use of the services on our website.

 

Where is Your Personal Information Stored?

Personal data is stored on servers in the EU. Some personal data is managed by a subcontractor (data processor) that stores and processes personal data on behalf of the company, in accordance with this data policy and the applicable data protection laws. The EAC Foundation and Asia House have entered into data processing agreement with all our subcontractors.

We keep the personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above.

 

Access and Deletion of Personal Information

You can always change or delete the information we have collected about you.

Cookies

In addition to the information that you provide us with yourself when using the company websites,  both www.asia-house.dk and www.eacfoundation.dk use cookies. Cookies are digital information packages that the websites store on your hard drive. The cookies used do not identify the individual user, but the user’s electronic device. A cookie is not a program and does not contain viruses. The use of cookies does not impair your security when using the website.

Cookies are used to make the website work and to improve the website’s service, for example in instances where the system remembers your email address when you, as a subscriber, wish to change your subscription.
